Even if you are used to working among creative disorder, agree that the need to always find the materials slows down the process. Start by organizing your workspace. If you are lucky and you have a free corner of the room, make it the most functional. The main thing is tools and materials were stored properly and do not take up space. Hang a wall shelf. Keep a basket for needlework or replace it with a transparent tool box, divided into sections. Protect table surface with vinyl mat and place a convenient lamp.
1. Use simple solutions for storing small items. Attach small jars to the bottom of the shelf: glue the lid, and then screw the jars. You can store, for example, buttons. Use skirt hanger as a holder for colored paper (for scrapbooking or decoupage) or fabric for patchwork.
2. Group the supporting material and fold things into clear containers – it’s faster to find them without opening the box. Divide materials for embroidery and patchwork by color and store it in separate sealable bags. Place the material in the basket vertically – then everything is visible and easier to find the right thing.
3. Use folders under the ribbon and paper. They cannot be confused, do not get dirty and will not be lost in clear folders.
